The short duration, action packed, windward leeward format of the sprints is always hugely popular with the crews seeking a mid-week break from the office/home office.

It's also good for the owner driver needing to maximise starting practice and get the crew in shape round the corners. There will be oportunites for crew recruitment, swapping, and coaching with more emphasis on fun and learning.

The North Sails Young 88 Sprints will be racing with the Etchells on alternate fortnights to the Stewart 34s as part of the Auckland Keelboat OneDesign Sprints series being run by Northcote Birkenhead Yacht Club
