Final Reminder. 8Y8 Auckland Champs Update - Sunday Feb 26th

Morning all,

We had eighteen expressions of interest for the original event and currently have six entries.

It would be great for the competitors and class to get the entry numbers back over ten

We are aware of a few who have had things pop up ... cracked rig, weddings etc and we also have a boat or two coming we were not expecting. Welcome back Danger Zone.

The forecast for next Sunday is perfect, ie sunny 10-15kts from SW.

This compact one-day event makes for great practice for those doing The Harken Nationals and is a more chilled out event for those who are not. but wait there's more .... the entry fee is only $75 per boat.

Grab the crew, additional family & friends and get your entry in before midnight this Weds to avoid copping an additional $75 late fee.

Entry links, regatta docs, crew available and other info can all be found on the event page here https://www.young88.org.nz/events/177450/

if you have any questions or feedback then please get in touch and we'll see you out there.

Regards,

Mike

8Y8 Auckland Champs Update - Sunday Feb 26th

Hi all,

This is a quick update on the replanned and relaunched Young 88 Auckland Champs for the historic Kava Bowl trophy. We are doing our best to pull the parts back together.

You are getting this email because you indicated you were one of 17 boats interested in attending when we surveyed members on regatta preferences at the end of last year.

BBYC have kindly stepped into the gap of Organising Authority after the Auckland Regatta was postponed. We have simplified the format to a one-day regatta only with no weather reserve day. The updated Notice of Race will be out shortly

Racing will be same as for the owners Champs 5 x Windward Leewards in the waters between Kohi and Rangitoto. Great practice for those doing the Nationals and a more chilled event for those who are not.

It would be great to get feedback to confirm intentions and any questions by reply .

This email will be followed by the Notice of Race and entry instructions.

Regards,

Mike
