The Association - a Profile
Welcome to the official web site of the
Young 88 Owners Association of New Zealand (Inc).
The Association is an Incorporated Society, formed in 1981
and based in Auckland, New Zealand. Its principal objective
is to “promote, encourage and foster the development and growth
of the Young 88 Class of yachts (the Class)”.
The Association administers the affairs of the Class in New Zealand.
It organises and conducts racing and other activities
for Class owners and it owns the moulds in which the boats were built.
Fleets of Young 88s in several Australian ports are administered by
kindred associations.
Its National Championships attract top skippers and its portfolio of successfully completed events is lengthy, as its honours board attests.

Sponsorship
Interested in sponsoring an Association event? Why not consider it. Apart from the yachting audience on the water, estimated at 1,500, harbour races draw speactators on-shore, from harbour ferries and from waterfront traffic. The Association also facilitates regattas for it's main sponsors.
